The approach
For me, massage is more than treating muscles and connective tissue. It is something I explore with the person who lives in the body. I listen with my hands, and little by little you learn to listen more closely to your own body.
I came to massage from personal training, so movement is always part of the picture. I don't just look at a tight muscle but at how it relates to what surrounds it, and to how you use your body.
More force doesn't always give more. I follow how the body responds and adjust pressure, direction and pace. Once real contact is found, I often stay with it instead of rushing to the next technique.
Some sessions are mostly about tension, discomfort or restricted movement. Others are about sensing parts of the body that have felt unfamiliar. And sometimes they are simply about feeling more at home in your body.
Practical
- In Reykjavík
- About 60–90 minutes
- Price on request
Contact, not force
Instead of more pressure I might change direction, ease off, slow down or simply stay. Precision is also about what you choose not to do.
Movement on the table
Small movements, within the range you can still feel, so the body can learn something new and take it with you into the day.
You set the terms
You can talk or stay quiet, ask for a change or say no. A session is a collaboration, not a performance.
The body is not only something to be treated. It is also something we can learn to understand.Gísli

How a session may unfold
What to expect
- 01We start by talking: what brings you, and how you feel today.
- 02Consent-based touch, adjusted to what feels right for you.
- 03We explore together: touch, small movements and what you notice.
- 04At the end: what did you notice, and what can you take with you?
A frame, not a recipe. Each session takes its shape from the person.
